The Land-Based Vector NDB (Non-Directional RadioBeacon System) installed and maintained by Ping Telecoms is a highly sophisticated solid state, high power radio beacon that provide high overall efficiency (70% or better) results in low power consumption and reduced operating costs. The entire suit consists of a Transmitter, Beacon Monitor Receiver and NLA/2 Active Lop Antenna, an ATU (Antenna tunning unit) designed to match the impedance of the antenna, and a 40 foot self supporting NDB antenna designed for optimal performance in a small footprint.

The NDB transmitter is also fitted with a sophisticated GUI located on the front panel of the transmitter used to perform maintenance and troubleshooting. The GUI also allows for set-up, control and monitoring of the NDB wihout the need for a local computer or laptop.
